These terms govern your use of Wildlife of Everywhere (wildlifeofeverywhere.com), its country guides (including wildlifeofborneo.com), and the related apps (the "Service"), run by Alcey Kangit, trading as Neofelis Digital, Mini Peti Surat 04, Kiulu, 89250 Tuaran, Sabah, Malaysia ("we", "us"). By using the Service you accept these terms. If you do not, please do not use it. See also our Privacy Policy.

1. The Service

The Service is a free, informational wildlife field guide with species information, photos, trip-planning tools and listings. We may change, suspend or end any part of it at any time without notice.

2. Information only: no guarantees

Species identification, status, ranges, "best time to see", locations and trip suggestions are provided in good faith from published sources and contributors but may be incomplete, outdated or wrong. We do not guarantee accuracy, that any animal will be seen, or that any place is open, accessible or safe. Check with park authorities and your operator before travelling. Conservation statuses may change.

3. Safety and wildlife

Wildlife viewing and travel carry real risks (dangerous animals, terrain, weather, disease, remote areas). You are responsible for your own safety, for following park rules and local law, and for keeping a safe distance from wild animals. Nothing in the Service is medical, safety, legal or professional advice.

4. Tour operators, guides and other third parties

Listings, links and contact buttons for tour operators, guides and other businesses are provided for convenience. Unless we say otherwise, we do not own, operate, endorse, vouch for or have any agreement with them, and at the date of these terms we receive no payment or commission from them for listings. Some links on the Service may be affiliate links (for example to Viator): if you book through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We may in future also receive fees or commission from operators; any paid or affiliate listing will be identified as such. Any booking or arrangement is solely between you and the operator, who is responsible for their services, prices and safety. We are not liable for them.

5. Contributions (photos, reports, species)

If you submit anything through the Contribute form ("Contribution"):

You confirm it is your own work (or you have the owner's permission), that you may grant the rights below, that it does not infringe anyone's rights or break the law, and that you have the permission of any identifiable person in it.
You keep your copyright. You grant us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, adapt (crop, resize, caption), display and distribute the Contribution on the Service, our apps and related promotion (including social media), credited to the name and link you gave.
We may edit, decline, or remove any Contribution at our discretion. You may ask us to remove a published Contribution at any time; we will do so within a reasonable time, though copies already shared or cached elsewhere may remain.
Do not upload anything unlawful, offensive, misleading, or that shows illegal wildlife activity, or that reveals the exact location of threatened or nest-site species.
Where a photo is credited as openly licensed (for example Creative Commons), that licence, not these terms, governs reuse of that photo.

6. Our content and acceptable use

The Service's design, text, data and code are owned by us or our licensors, and photos belong to their credited owners. You may view and share links to the Service and use content for personal, non-commercial purposes with credit. You must not: copy or scrape the Service at scale, resell it, remove credits, interfere with its operation or security, try to gain unauthorised access, or use it unlawfully. Automated AI crawlers may follow our robots.txt rules.

7. Intellectual property complaints

If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights, email us with the page address, what is yours, and proof of ownership. We will review it promptly and remove it where appropriate.

8. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, injury, cost or damage (direct or indirect) arising from your use of the Service, reliance on its content, or dealings with third parties, including operators. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have exclusive jurisdiction, unless the law of your country gives you mandatory rights.
